In Volante 1788, the following checkbox has been added in the Kiosk Config settings:

Enable auto add weight scale item to the order: When selected, this will allow weight scale menu items to be automatically added to the customer’s cart. More specifically, certain buttons have been removed (i.e., the 'Add to Cart’ button) that would otherwise typically display in a regular weigh scale order.

BackOffice Configuration

This setting is supported in both Self-Checkout and Regular Kiosk modes.

Select the General Setup module from the BackOffice.
Select Kiosk Config, then select Properties.
Select a scheme from the Kiosk Configuration Schemes pane (left).
Select Self Checkout or Regular from the Kiosk run mode drop-down list (center).
The Kiosk run mode setting has two options:
- Regular: Default kiosk operation with Menu Item tiles.
- Self Checkout: Self Checkout enabled without Menu Item tiles.
Select the Enable auto add weight scale item to the order checkbox (center).
Select Save Changes, to save configuration changes.
Select Exit.

Kiosk Workflow

	Touch the Kiosk home screen to begin.

	Touch the Kiosk home screen to begin.
	Scan your customer card to log in.
	Select the menu item you want to weigh.
	Select your tare (if applicable).
	Place your item on the weight scale.
	The menu item is automatically weighed after which a notification displays (approximately ~2 seconds after the item has been weighed) indicating your menu item has been automatically added to your cart. Note: When the item is automatically weighed, the Cancel button disappears from the main screen.	Item weighed on scale Item automatically added to order
	You can then View your order, Checkout, or Cancel your order.	Checkout: Select checkout to proceed with making a payment and submitting your order. Checkout screen Cancel Order: Select Cancel Order to cancel order, after which you will be directed back to the Kiosk home screen.
