Phone Number Prompt/Intake (KIOSK,POS and APIs)

Phone number prompts notifications are enabled through Hardware → Terminal Setup → Advanced Options → Other → Customer Order Notification via SMS.

Requires QSR restAPI solution (dont change unless you know what you are doing)


It is only for use modes:

  1. Cashier

  2. Tabs (KIOSK)

     

  3. API based transactions will utilize the phone number field in the create table API.

WHY?
phone Number has and will have future uses.

Current use:
-New QSR integration being used as an order ready display solution can send SMS notification using this field. Requires a license and a Volante QSR cloud admin to configure the site.

-Entering a phone number why a customer is assigned to the POS/Kiosk will save it to the CDB entry of that customer.
