Overview

The POS can function in a series of different modes. The types of functions or transactions that need to be performed determine the mode to be used.

POS use modes are accessible via the buttons on the right side of the POS home screen (Figure 1). These buttons can be enabled or disabled via configuration in the BackOffice.

BackOffice Configuration

In order for a Use Mode button to appear on the POS, the Use Mode button must be enabled for the desired terminal.

Enabling Use Mode Buttons

Click on Hardware from the BackOffice home screen.
Click on the Terminal Setup button (1).
Click on the POS Use Mode tab (2).
Click on the desired terminal under the Terminals pane (3).
Click Edit (4).

Ensure that the Primary Mode (under the POS Use Mode tab) remains at the default setting of F&B.
Select the checkbox beside the desired POS mode buttons (5).
Click Save (6).
Click Exit (top-right) to complete.

Perform a Data Synch to ensure all changes have been synched to all POS terminals.
