QSR – Behavior for Transactions on Terminals

Broadcast Changes to Tables to Other Terminals in Tabs/Tables/Drive Thru/Drive-Through (1781+)

As of Volante Build 1781_0000, all changes made within a Table transaction will be broadcast to other terminals.

APIs sent to the QSR will be broadcast to other terminals, and not only terminals where the transaction was created. This is to aid sites that make use of multiple POSes, and will broadcast information required by other terminals to complete QSR transactions.

  • Changes within the same terminal group will be reflected correctly on QSR terminals regardless of the origin of the transaction.

  • This functionality should include transactions performed in Tabs, Tables, Drive Thru mode, and Drive-Through modes.

  • Changes to the customer associated with the transaction will also be sent to all other terminals in the same terminal group.

    • E.g. Item features QSR department ID

  • Broadcasting will be done within the same terminal group.

  • This feature will work or environments making use of multiple POSes.
